A Better Future for Talented Young People
Established in honour of my late mother, an educator devoted to uplifting others through knowledge, the Franca Ezugwu Foundation is a non‑profit social enterprise focused on educational equity. We identify and support exceptionally talented young people from Igbo Eze North Local Government Area, Enugu Ezike, who face severe financial hardship, offering scholarships that enable access to university education.
The Franca Ezugwu Foundation Scholarship, established in 2018 and launched in August 2022, is dedicated to advancing educational opportunity. Through charitable donations, we support students seeking to obtain higher education qualifications in their home country. To make a contribution, please select the ‘Donate Now’ button below.
£800 per year will cover tuition fees, accommodation, books and course materials for each student that is accepted to receive the scholarship.
To be eligible to apply for the scholarship, the student must:
- Have studied and finished secondary education in Enugu Ezike
- Provide documentation of acceptance to an accredited state University or higher education institution in Nigeria
- Demonstrate outstanding academic performance and financial need
- Express a sincere desire to actively pursue a University education
In the future we aim to expand the foundation to include partnering with organisations for training and skills, creating opportunities or platforms for the beneficiaries to share their skills and knowledge with others, and providing mentorships.
